E106: The Austin Axe Murderer

December 24, 2020

This week Beth and Wendy have a present for y’all, a mystery. We don’t usually cover unsolved cases, but this is our gift to you on this holiday. Today we are talking about the Austin Axe Murderer, an American presumably male identifying individual who was never captured or identified, but who murdered 8 people between  December 30, 1884 – December 24, 1885.

(note: time stamps are without ads & may be off a little)

We open up our mailbag and thank y’all for supporting the show (5:28).  We introduce our subject and share some stats (10:45), then we dive into the setting (14:50).  Then we get into the timeline (31:41).  Then, we get into the trials of some of the individuals suspected of some of the murders (57:54) and the theories about the case (1:01:50). We discuss our Takes (1:07:30) and some tips on how not to get murdered (1:15:35).

As usual we close out the show with some shout outs (1:18:36).

Happy holidays, y’all and thanks for listening! This is a weekly podcast and new episodes drop every Thursday, so until next time... look alive guys, it's crazy out there!

E105: Eddie Lee Mosley Pt 2

E105: Eddie Lee Mosley Pt 2

December 17, 2020

This week Beth and Wendy get into part 2 on the case of Eddie Lee Mosely, a Floridian serial killer and rapist. He was responsible for the sexual assaults and murders of somewhere around 8 to 100+ black women and girls, and two innocent black men were wrongfully convicted for some of those rapes and murders.

If you have not heard part 1 of this case, we recommend you stop right now, go back and give it a listen.  We will be here when you come back, we promise.

(note: time stamps are without ads & may be off a little)

We thank y’all for your support and for listening (7:43) then jump right on into the rest of the timeline (11:14).  Then, we get into the investigation & arrest (33:05) followed by "Where are they now?"(39:36). We get into our Take Aways and what we think made the perp snap (46:05).

As usual we close out the show with some tips on how not to get murdered (55:41) and some shout outs (58:36).

Thanks for listening! This is a weekly podcast and new episodes drop every Thursday, so until next time... look alive guys, it's crazy out there!

E104: Eddie Lee Mosley

December 10, 2020

This week Beth and Wendy discuss the case of Eddie Lee Mosely, a Floridian serial killer and rapist. This case has also been called the Broward County Miscarriage of justice because Mosley managed to slip through the hands of justice for 15 years, and in that time he was responsible for the sexual assaults and murders 8-100+ black women and girls, and two innocent black men were wrongfully convicted for some of those crimes. This will be a two parter because there’s just so much to the story.

(note: time stamps are without ads & may be off a little)

First we dive into our mailbag and thank our supporters (4:40).We start at the beginning and share some stats (8:08); we dive into the setting (12:26), the killer’s early life (21:05) and the first part of the timeline (24:21).  Please tune in next week when we discuss the rest of the case details.

As usual we close out the show with some tips on how not to get murdered(54:02) and some shout outs (55:55).

Thanks for listening! This is a weekly podcast and new episodes drop every Thursday, so until next time... look alive guys, it's crazy out there!

December 3, 2020

This week Beth and Wendy discuss Charles “Junior” Jackson, AKA The East Bay Slayer, a serial killer active in Oakland, California between 1975 and 1982. He was identified as the killer only a few years after his death, based on results from DNA profiling. Jackson is suspected of committing several more murders during the 1970s and 1980s around the Oakland area, in which at least 5 other serial killers were also operating at the same time.

E97: The Kansas City Strangler

E97: The Kansas City Strangler

October 22, 2020

This week we talk about  Lorenzo Jerome Gilyard Jr, aka The Kansas City Strangler. He murdered at least 13 girls and women in Kansas City, Missouri between 1977 and 1993.

We dig into our mailbag (5:00).  Then we dive into the story starting with the stats (10:02), the setting (12:19), the Gilyard’s early life (26:06) and the timeline (30:13).  Then, we get into the investigation & arrest (44:28) followed by "Where are they now?"(49:04). We get into our Take Aways and what we think made the him snap (53:01).

As usual we close out the show with some tips on how not to get murdered (58:05) and of course some shout outs (1:00:46).

Thanks for listening! This is a weekly podcast and new episodes drop every Thursday, so until next time... look alive y’all, it's crazy out there!
